The Polish GRANDys duo team also scored a podium in the Superstock 600 class as Daniel Bukowski raced his GSX-R600 into second position.
Jacek Grandys - Suzuki GRANDys duo Team Manager:
"I am happy with such a good start to the season. There's a lot of high-points to take away and the next rounds will be held on tracks that are well known to our riders and I hope that we will again be at the front."
"I am glad that my title defence began with a victory. I felt good on the short track and there was a chance for two wins, but I am really happy with this result. The season is long and everything is still ahead of us."
"I do not remember when the last time I rode on the new circuit for me and I forgot how much fun it is learning a new track. We are returning from Italy very positive for the upcoming season and ready for the next round. I'd like to thank the whole team, who as usual did a great job."
