BMW Activity Brochure - What's new for 2013?

Things are beginning to wake up in the world of motorcycling and manufacturers are getting ready to tempt motorcyclists with all that's new for 2013.  BMW is no exception with the publication of their 2013 World of BMW Activity Brochure. It is packed full of tours, off road riding experiences and on road training courses to look forward to and is available from dealerships or on line. Here's a little preview some of the information it contains.

New Rider Training for 2013

BMW Rider Training has relocated to Royston, Hertfordshire, where a new purpose-built training centre and riding pad allows the school to offer more courses and test dates.  It's forty-five minutes from London (by train via King’s Cross), and has great riding roads and nice open spaces around it to practice on. The school uses new A2 Licence compatible motorcycles (BMW G 650 GS) for riders aged 19 to 23 and new F 700 GS suitable for Direct Access courses for riders of 24 or over. Run by double Guinness World Record holder Kevin and Julia Sanders, BMW Rider Training offers a complete syllabus of courses and instruction. Whether you are getting a licence for the first time, returning to riding after a long break or simply looking to learn some advanced RoSPA-level techniques, there's a course to cover it. Using a fleet of new BMW motorcycles and the latest Rider Equipment, BMW Rider Training’s instructors are on hand to help riders get the most out of motorcycling.

Off Road skills for 2013

This is for riders looking to learn more about adventure bike and enduro riding. With instructors, running courses for riders of every level, and a fleet of the latest BMW motorcycles, Dakar race veteran Simon Pavey has added a host of new courses to the existing syllabus. The new R 1200 GS is available on level one, two and three GS Adventure Travel Training and Skills Development Day courses.

* There are one-to-one GS and Enduro training days, with one of BMWs off road skills instructors.

* The new Adventure Travel Training one-day course prepares you for a riding adventure on a large heavily loaded motorcycle with the option of carrying a pillion as well.
